Houston Station: A New "Old" Nashville Wedding and Reception Site

Just this Saturday I officiated my first wedding at Houston Station. If you haven’t heard of this place yet, you have now and will be hearing a lot more in the near future. I had the chance to speak to one of the partner owners after the wedding reception, and he was telling me of their expansion plans. In time, they plan on having a full-service event planning location.

That means for weddings, you could go to this one place and take care of catering, wedding planning and almost anything else you needed for your wedding. That could make it very convenient, a great time and money saver.

One of the things that I noticed first when entering Houston Station are the beautiful hardwood floors. And since the wedding and reception area are so large, it’s a lot of floor. By the way, at the website for Houston Station, you can download PDF’s showing the floor plan and layout for a wedding reception, or wedding ceremony and reception layout.  There’s room for 350 seated wedding guests which is plenty big for the majority of weddings.

The building has that trendy old factory turning into event center look with plenty of exposed brick.

You are allowed to bring in your own caterer and other wedding service providers. There is no charge to do so. Providers like caterers of course have to have the proper licenses and insurance which you would want anyway. If you do need help choosing some resources for your wedding, then they are able to help as they have build relationships with vendors that they trust.

Visit Houston Station’s website for more information, including a map which you can check to see if your wedding date is open on the calendar. If so, you may want to get down soon and take a first hand look. I already have another wedding on my schedule for this location, and I suspect it will become popular as the news spread.

Take a look below at a few photos I took at this weekend’s wedding.
